Grant Possibilities to Support Globe and Miami's Post-Flood Rebuilding

The Arizona State Historic Preservation Office has pulled together the following list of grants at might be useful for those affected by the flooding in Globe and Miami, Arizona from the weekend of September 27, 2025. This list is open to a variety of sources. Make sure to check each individual link for eligibility requirements and application windows. This is organized into themes to make it easier to sort through the many opportunities.
Make sure to check out Local First Arizona's Arizona Economic Resource Center. They have a fantastic grants page that has a wide variety of types of grants. This website it kept up to date, so check back for new grants. The AZERC can also offer grant writing assistance.

Preservation Grants
Historic Preservation Heritage Fund Grants, will open up in December/ January, information will be posted in the next month or so, up to $60,000
Emergency and Mitigation, Trails, Outdoor Recreation Facilities grants, $10,000-$100,000+
Southwest Intervention Fund, next round should be due Feb 1, $2,500-$10,000
Preservation planning grants could be for architectural plans to figure out what work needs to be done, they just closed, but we believe these open a couple times a year $2,500-$5,000
Johanna Farvot Fund, last year applications were due in March, $2,500 to $15,000
Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund for Historic Interiors, last year applications were due in March, $2,500 to $15,000
Arizona Preservation Foundation: Jumpstart Grants, up to $2,000
Daughters of the American Revolution: Preservation grants, due October 31, $500-$10,000
National Railway Historical Society: If any of the railway buildings, trains, etc. was damaged. Applications open at the end of the year, grants seem to be around $5,000
National Park Service: Nothing available at the moment, but they have various opportunities to watch for
JM Kaplan Fund Heritage Conservation grants, by invite only. Reach out for more information
The 1772 Foundation It is too late to apply this year, Letter of Inquiry due in September, $50,000-$75,000
Other Grants that Might be Helpful
Utilities Grant Funding Program APS, SRP, and TEP grant, can be used for housing, up to $25,000
The Diane & Bruce Halle Foundation Human Services grants, applications due January 15 or June 15, funding varies
Housing Assistance Council Affordable rural housing development for low/very low-income housing
USDA Rural Development Loans and Grants
Banfield Foundation Grants for Disaster Relief for Animals
Petsmart Charities Same as above, check other big name animal brands for similar grants
Natural Disaster Grants
Elevance Health say they have Community Resilience and Disaster Relief Grants
US Small Business Administration Loans to businesses and nonprofits for economic hardship due to disasters
HUD Capital Fund Emergency/Natural Disaster Funding We don't think this is an active grant, but might be worth some more researching
Longer Term Recovery Grants
Society of American Archivists Disaster Recovery for any repository, up to $5,000
The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation and Music Rising: Disaster Relief Assistance Instrument replacement at schools
The Pilcrow Foundation: Rural Public Library Grants Children's book replacement for libraries
Other Ideas
